Who we are
Forestride is a customer analytics, CRM and conversations platform. Businesses ("our customers") use it to understand their customers, and to answer messages from their website chat, email, Facebook Messenger and Instagram in one inbox. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account information - name, email address and company details of the people who sign up to Forestride.
- Data our customers connect - website activity, payments, orders and contact details from the tools a business connects (for example Stripe or Shopify).
- Messages - messages sent to a business through its connected channels, including their content and attachments, and the sender's name, username and profile picture as provided by the platform.
- Facebook and Instagram data - when a business connects a Facebook Page or Instagram professional account, we receive the Page's access token, its name and ID, and the messages people send to it, through Meta's official APIs.
How we use it
- To show each business its own conversations and let it, or its AI assistant, reply.
- To provide analytics, customer profiles and automations the business has set up.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use messages to advertise to anyone. Data from Meta platforms is used only to provide the messaging features the business turned on.
Sharing
Each business can only see its own data. We use trusted service providers to run Forestride (for example cloud hosting, email delivery through Amazon Web Services, and AI providers that generate suggested replies), bound by confidentiality and data-protection terms. We disclose data if the law requires it.
Retention and security
Access tokens are stored encrypted. Conversation data is kept while the business's account is active and deleted when the business deletes it or closes its account. Raw received emails are deleted after 90 days.
Deleting your data
Businesses can disconnect a Facebook Page or Instagram account at any time in Forestride (Channels > Messenger & Instagram > Disconnect), which deletes its access token. You can also remove Forestride from Facebook (Settings > Business integrations); we then disconnect it automatically.
People who messaged a business can ask that business, or us at support@forestride.ai, to delete their messages and profile. We reply within 30 days.
